Presentation of the Document for the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Approach of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficit for Primary Care

This document, coordinated by Drs. Francisco Casas (Coordinator of the Andalusian Alpha-1 Center in Granada) and José Antonio Quintano (Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians – SEMERGEN) have the following objectives:

1) to improve the knowledge of COPD by DAAT by Primary Care.

2) sensitize the family doctor about the importance of early diagnosis

3) facilitate the knowledge of the tools available in Primary Care for its diagnostic approach.

4) optimize its treatment. Doctors from the SEMERGEN Respiratory Group and experts from the Spanish Registry of Patients with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (REDAAT), belonging to the COPD Area of the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Spanish, have participated in the preparation of this document, led by SEMERGEN. Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR).
