Study on the role of doctors in the diagnosis of AATD

A study has been published that analyzes the role of primary care physicians in the diagnosis of AATD in the USA.

This is a review that analyzes the underdiagnosis of COPD and AATD among primary care physicians in the United States. It is estimated that less than 10% of symptomatic AATD patients are diagnosed in Primary Care.

It is estimated that less than 10% of symptomatic DAAT patients are diagnosed in Primary Care.

The authors conclude that it is necessary to improve the knowledge of the disease in Primary Care, establishing recommendations and reminders to make AAT levels to all patients with COPD.
